As part of our 25th anniversary celebration, Dyer Law along with a local radio group recognizes everyday heroes in the community with a special program. Through a nomination process, we’ve now recognized five “High Five Heroes,” one a month since April. Each honoree receives a $500 check and recognition certificate.
See the attached video link for our latest honoree Amanda Abbey.
Our media partner, the NRG media group, adds an extra dimension to the program by awarding an additional $500 so that each month’s honoree can “pay it forward” to another deserving hero or cause.
Mike Dyer is front and center with each month’s honoree, participating in on-air interviews with the radio stations as well as special presentations to each month’s “High Five Hero”.
About our most recent High Five Hero Amanda Abbey
Amanda is a Special Education teacher in the Alternate Curriculum Program at Millard North High School. She works a great deal with students struggling in school who want to drop out. According to her nomination form, she is a key reason they stay in school. Her students know that they can go to her at any time and she will help. Amanda’s commitment goes far beyond what is expected often using her own resources to provide better opportunities for her students. All of Amanda’s students, parents of students and coworkers know that she will do whatever she can for her students.
Congratulations to Amanda Abbey, the Dyer Law High Five Hero for August.
Watch for September’s hero to be announced soon. You can go to our Facebook page to see all the past winners. While you’re there, be sure to “like” us.
