Omaha, NE (July 1, 2020) – A pedestrian accident in Omaha left one child seriously injured on Tuesday evening. Just after 6 p.m., on June 30, the Omaha Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Parker Street.

Reports from OPD show that an 8-year-old child on a bicycle was struck by a car on Parker Street near the intersection of 56th Street. The impact of the collision sent the child over the hood of the car and into the windshield. The child suffered serious head trauma in the accident. The injured child was rushed to Nebraska Medicine for treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
