Omaha, NE (January 8, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Omaha area on Friday evening resulted in injuries, according to local news sources. At around 5:50 p.m., on January 8, emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash on Highway 50.
According to local authorities, a crash involving three vehicles took place on Highway 50 near Harrison Street. The impact of the crash caused severe damage to the vehicles involved. Firefighters were required to extricate trapped victims at the scene.
Authorities transported several victims to area hospitals for treatment. A 17-year-old female passenger was transported to Bergan with traumatic injuries. A 20-year-old male driver was unrestrained and suffered head and neck pain. A third male victim in his 20s sustained head injuries and lost consciousness. The fourth victim, a 17-year-old male, was also injured. All four victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
