Bicycle Accidents in Nebraska
Every year, bicycle accidents throughout Nebraska leave hundreds of people with injuries. Given the fact that bicyclists are relatively unprotected against the impact of other vehicles and outside forces in collisions, they are more likely to suffer life-threatening injuries. Many injured bicyclists have to go through surgery and spend months going through physical therapy for their injuries. Numerous victims are left with permanent disabilities that continue to impact them indefinitely.
Victims who suffer catastrophic injuries require extensive medical treatment, hospitalization, and therapy. The aftermath of an accident can be a trying time for everyone involved. The emotional, mental, and financial impacts victims are often forced to endure can be overwhelming. Not only are victims forced to struggle moving forward, but their families are often forced to deal with the stacking financial burdens, lost income, and emotional consequences.
The unfortunate truth is that the majority of accidents throughout the state of Nebraska are a result of driver negligence. Although we can be diligent and in control of our actions while driving, there is little we can do to ensure others act in the same responsible manner. The fact that so many people are injured in preventable accidents is concerning. When victims are injured in collisions, due to the reckless actions of others, they should reach out to a bicycle accident attorney in Nebraska as soon as possible.
