Omaha, NE – One Seriously Injured in Crash on Fowler Ave

Omaha, NE (July 24, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident involving a fleeing vehicle left one person seriously injured in the Omaha area on Thursday. During the afternoon hours of July 23, the Omaha Police Department was involved in a chase in Omaha.

According to reports, officers in Omaha were pursuing a suspect on foot when the man jumped into a car and fled the scene, striking the patrol vehicle of the officers. As the man passed through the intersection of Fowler Avenue and North 65th Street, he crashed into a second vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle sustained critical injuries in the accident. Medics were called to render aid to the victim on the scene before rushing them to a local hospital.

Police were able to apprehend the suspect. He now faces numerous charges for his actions. At this time, investigations surrounding the collision are ongoing.
