Omaha, NE (February 16, 2021) – An auto accident reported on Monday evening in the Omaha area sent two people to local hospitals with injuries. At around 10:20 p.m., on February 15, the Omaha Police Department, firefighters, and EMS were called to the scene of a crash involving two vehicles.
Reports from authorities show that a head-on collision took place on Leavenworth Street at the intersection with Saddlecreek Street. The crash left both vehicles with moderate damage, pinning one person inside.
Firefighters responded to the scene of the accident and extricated the trapped victim from their vehicle. EMS transported a 50-year-old male and a second vehicle to Nebraska Medicine Nebraska Medical Center for the treatment of traumatic injuries.
At this time, the police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
