Omaha, NE (July 15, 2020) – A bicycle accident reported on Monday afternoon left one young male critically injured. Just before 4 p.m., on July 13, the Omaha Fire Department assisted the Omaha Police Department in response to a motor vehicle accident on Boyd Street.
Reports provided by the Omaha Police Department show that a group of bicyclists was traveling east on Boyd Street when one of them was struck by a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup truck after passing through the intersection with 90th Street. The 12-year-old male victim sustained critical head and chest injuries in the accident. The boy was rushed from the scene of the accident to CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center – Bergan Mercy for treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
