Omaha, NE (June 25, 2020) – An automobile accident on Wednesday claimed two victims’ lives and left a third person seriously injured. On June 24, at approximately 9:10 p.m., the Omaha Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on North 90th Street.
Reports from police show that 38-year-old Chinyere Nwuju was traveling down North 90th Street in a 2008 Dodge Nitro, at a high rate of speed, when her vehicle crashed into a 2002 Dodge Ram at the intersection with Maple Street. The Nitro continued forward and crashed into a 2017 Jeep Renegade, which was stopped at the red light.
The driver and passenger inside the Dodge Ram were killed instantly in the collision. Both victims were declared deceased at the scene. Nwuju was seriously injured and transported to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
