Lincoln, NE – Two People Injured in Two-Car Crash on Vine St

Lincoln, NE (September 18, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Lincoln area left two victims injured. Just after 4:20 p.m., on September 16, the Lincoln Police Department responded to the site of a collision on Vine Street.

Reports provided by authorities show that 19-year-old Kimberly Halousaka was driving a gray 2005 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling on Vine Street when her vehicle collided with a black 2014 Toyota Scion FR-S sedan.

The impact of the crash sent the Toyota crashing into a red 2008 Honda Civic US LX, which was driven by 20-year-old Carissa J Van Brocklin. The Honda then crashed into a blue 2007 Honda CRV EX, which was driven by 58-year-old Diane Tharnish.

The crash resulted in a severe delay in traffic throughout the area. Both Diana Tharnish and a second victim, 19-year-old Saydi Schanaman, were both injured in the accident. Both victims were rendered aid at the scene. Schanaman was transported to Bryan LGH Medical Center West for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
