Omaha, NE – Car Crash on I-480 Claims One Life & Injures One

Omaha, NE (December 21, 2020) – An auto accident reported in the Omaha area on Sunday afternoon sent one person to an area hospital with injuries while claiming a second victim’s life. Just after 1 p.m., on December 20, emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash on Interstate 480.

Reports from authorities show that a crash involving motor vehicles took place on the westbound side of Interstate 480 near Leavenworth Street. The crash resulted in severe damage to the vehicles, pinning one person inside. The victim sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

One patient, identified as a 30-year-old male, was rushed to Nebraska Medicine Nebraska Medical Center for the treatment of Code 3 traumatic injuries. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
