Omaha, NE (June 12, 2020) – Several individuals were injured in a motor vehicle accident in Omaha on Thursday. At approximately 11:45 p.m., on June 11, the Omaha Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on North 71st Street.
Reports from police indicate that a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon, driven by 18-year-old Dalton Avila, was traveling west on the Sorensen Parkway, along with a 2020 GMC Terrain, driven by 45-year-old Cedric Turner. As the vehicles approached the intersection with North 71st Street, the two vehicles collided. The impact of the collision sent both vehicles across the median to the south where they collided with an eastbound 2007 BMW 335i, which was driven by 19-year-old San Pen Win.
Both Turner and Win were injured in this collision. Turner was rushed to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital in serious condition. Win sustained minor injuries and was transported to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
