Premises Liability in Nebraska
Every year, thousands of people are injured in accidents resulting from the negligent or reckless actions of others. When these accidents take place at the homes and businesses of others, property owners and managers can be held liable for any resulting damages. Property owners are required to maintain safe premises for guests, which means securing any swimming areas, ensuring grounds are safe to travel upon and implementing adequate safety measures to protect patrons. When children are involved in drowning accidents, homeowners can be held liable in instances where they fail to adequately secure the pool, when they fail to monitor children in the pool, and when they act with negligence regarding measures taken to ensure the safety of guests.
The unfortunate truth is that the majority of accidents throughout the state of Nebraska are a result of driver negligence. Although we can be diligent and in control of our actions, there is little we can do to ensure others act in the same responsible manner. The fact that so many people are injured in preventable accidents is concerning. When people are harmed in accidents as a result of another person’s actions, it is crucial that they contact a premises liability attorney in Nebraska at their earliest convenience.
