Omaha, NE (January 26, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident in the Omaha area claimed one person’s life on Tuesday afternoon. On January 26, the Omaha Police Department and firefighters responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 80.
Reports from authorities show that a crash involving two vehicles took place on Interstate 80 near the 84th Street exit. The crash caused severe traffic delays in the area as crews arrived and blocked off the roadway.
One person involved in the accident was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for further treatment of injuries. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
