Car Accidents in Nebraska
Being involved in an auto accident can have a life-altering impact on a person’s life. Regrettably, Nebraskans are no strangers to the devastating impacts of traffic-related incidents. More than 1,000 people sustain serious injuries in collisions each year throughout the state. In many cases, victims are rushed to area hospitals where they have to undergo emergency surgery. After surgery, victims often spend days or even weeks in hospitals and rehabilitating facilities. The aftermath of an accident can be a trying time for everyone involved. The emotional, mental, and financial impacts victims are often forced to endure can be overwhelming. Not only are victims forced to struggle moving forward, but their families are often forced to deal with the stacking financial burdens, lost income, and emotional consequences.
The unfortunate truth is that the majority of accidents throughout the state of Nebraska are a result of driver negligence. Although we can be diligent and in control of our actions while driving, there is little we can do to ensure others act in the same responsible manner. Nearly 40% of accidents throughout the United States occur at intersections caused by drivers who run red lights or pass through stop signs. When victims are injured in accidents, it is crucial that they reach out to a car accident attorney in Nebraska as soon as possible. Those harmed may be able to obtain compensation to cover some of the costs they face as they move forward from their accidents and recover.
