Omaha, NE (August 25, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Tuesday morning left one person critically injured. Just after midnight on August 25, the Omaha Fire Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Ames Avenue.
Reports provided by the police show that a 2002 Chevrolet Astro Minivan collided with a 2015 Cadillac CTS sedan, driven by 22-year-old Windy Wah, at the intersection with 52nd Street. The impact of the crash sent both vehicles to the northwest corner of the intersection, where the minivan crashed into a concrete wall.
Wah sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to Nebraska Medicine Nebraska Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 50-year-old male, was unresponsive at the site of the crash. The victim was extricated from his vehicle and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of severe injuries.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
