The teen sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was immediately declared deceased. The driver of the semi-truck, who was identified as 65-year-old Wayne Griess, was transported to an area hospital for treatment. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the victim who lost their life in this accident. Our thoughts are with Wayne Griess. We hope for his full recovery.
