Gretna, NE – Steve Hartman Killed in Crash on US-6 (NE-31)

Gretna, NE (August 4, 2020) – An automobile accident in Sarpy County claimed one man’s life on Saturday afternoon. On August 1, the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 6.

Reports provided by authorities show that 47-year-old Steve Hartman was driving a Ford T-Roadster on Highway 6 when his vehicle was struck by a Chevrolet pickup truck near Bryan Street. The crash caused one of the vehicles to crash into a Jeep Wrangler.

Hartman was fatally injured in the accident. Authorities located the injured man at the scene and declared him deceased. No other victims involved in the accident were injured. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
