Omaha, NE – Accident on Highway 275 Results in Fatal Injuries

Omaha, NE (December 9, 2020) – A vehicle collision reported in the Omaha area claimed one person’s life and left several others injured. At around 10:55 p.m., on December 8, the Omaha Fire Department responded to the scene of a crash on Highway 275.

Reports from authorities show that a crash involving four vehicles took place on Highway 275 near the area of Highway 36. The crash caused severe damage to multiple vehicles involved.

One person was trapped inside an overturned vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters using the Jaws of Life. LifeNet was requested at the scene for a severely injured patient. However, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

A 47-year-old female sustained severe injuries in the accident and was rushed to Nebraska Medicine Nebraska Medical Center for the treatment of code two injuries. At least one other victim was transported to a nearby hospital for assistance. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
