Omaha, NE (June 19, 2020) – At approximately 6:30 p.m., on June 17, the Omaha Police Department and firefighters responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 3200 block of Bedford Avenue.
Reports from authorities show that 53-year-old Marcell Waller was traveling east on Bedford Avenue in a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis when his vehicle collided head-on with a 2005 Nissan Altima, which was driven by 42-year-old Rene Brizuela-Recinos.
The impact of the collision caused the Mercury to leave the road and crash through a fence and into a tree. Both Waller and Brizuela-Recinos sustained injuries in the accident. Both victims were transported to Nebraska Medicine for further treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
