Omaha, NE (June 30, 2020) – One victim was hospitalized with injuries after a pedestrian accident on Monday evening in the Omaha area. At approximately 10:25 p.m., on June 29, the Omaha Fire Department responded to the scene of an auto accident on Castelar Plaza.
Reports from the Omaha Police Department show that a 41-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle as it backed up. The woman became pinned between the striking vehicle and a second vehicle that was parked along the side of the road near the intersection with 143rd Plaza. The woman suffered serious lower extremity issues. The injured woman was transported to CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center – Bergan Mercy for further medical treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
