Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Nebraska

Omaha, NE – Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Truck on I-80Every year, thousands of people in our state are involved in motor vehicle accidents. In many cases, victims sustain life-altering injuries that require extensive and costly medical treatment. Although we want to think that everyone makes it out of collisions alive, this is far from the truth. More than 215 people lose their lives in auto accidents across Nebraska each year. Pedestrian accidents account for approximately 10% of traffic-related fatalities.

These accidents leave families to deal with overwhelming mental, emotional, and financial consequences after losing their loved ones unexpectedly. As if that were not enough, families are often required to spend tens of thousands of dollars on unexpected funeral costs and other financial burdens resulting from the loss of a loved one. The emotional, mental, and financial impacts victims are often forced to endure can be overwhelming. Although there is no amount of compensation that can ever take away the pain and suffering families are forced to endure, having the resources available after a tragic accident can help families cover the financial burdens they face moving forward.
