Omaha, NE (July 16, 2020) – An automobile accident reported on Wednesday evening resulted in injuries. At approximately 9:05 p.m., on July 15, the Omaha Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene of an auto collision on Fontenelle Boulevard.
Reports provided by the police show that a white pickup truck and a small dark-colored sedan collided on Fontenelle Boulevard at the intersection with Ames Avenue for unknown reasons. The collision resulted in extensive front end damages to the white pickup while leaving massive damages to the passenger side and front end of the sedan. Crews responding to the incident had to extricate victims from their vehicles. Three ambulances were called to the site to render medical treatment to victims.
One person, a 21-year-old male, was rushed to Nebraska Medicine Nebraska Medical Center with serious back injuries. A 25-year-old male was transported via ambulance to Nebraska Medicine Nebraska Medical Center for treatment of lower extremity injuries. A third victim was transported to Nebraska Medicine Nebraska Medical Center, although information surrounding their identity and injuries is limited at this time. Authorities in Omaha are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
